The City needs to identify a different Hearing Officer as Commission Liaison <br /> Resorts, <br /> the original Officer acted as a mediator in the 2011 discussions. Announcements and <br /> Councilmember Samuelson thanked Manager Lotter for his explanation,and wanted to assure residents that Updates <br /> the City Council is continuing the process. <br /> 4 Ayes,0 Nays-Motion Carried <br /> Public Hearing <br /> None <br /> Council Business <br /> None <br /> Commission Liaison Reports,Announcements and Updates <br /> Dean Lotter <br /> City Manager Lotter reported there are two Neighborhoods Meetings remaining; February 16th <br /> at Hansen Park, and February 23rd at Freedom Park. The Town Hall meeting is scheduled for <br /> Saturday, March 24, 2012. <br /> Gina Bauman <br /> Councilmember Bauman reported the Planning Commission recommended the Temporary <br /> Sign Ordinance to the City Council in January. Councilmember Bauman reported she will <br /> serve as the Secretary/Treasurer of the North Suburban Cable Commission. Comcast recently <br /> conducted a survey; the findings were overall favorable, with the exception of pricing. It was <br /> noted that a new triple play pricing option will be available in March. Interested students were <br /> encouraged to apply for the scholarships being offered through the North Suburban Cable <br /> Commission. <br /> Mary Burg <br /> absent <br /> Char Samuelson <br /> Councilmember Samuelson reported the EDC will next meet February 21st at 7:30 am. <br /> Mayor Jacobsen <br /> Mayor Jacobsen reported that he attended the League of Minnesota Cities conference for <br /> experienced elected officials. Mayor Jacobsen is continuing to look for collaborative <br /> opportunities with the local school districts. It was reported that Irondale High School is the <br /> first in the State to offer students the opportunity to earn an associates degree while enrolled in <br /> high school. Mayor Jacobsen and Manager Lotter are discussing recruiting students to serve <br /> on one of the City's advisory commissions; in order to allow for a broader perspective. <br /> The program with Ramsey County Library-One Book, One Community-was well received in <br /> the community, and plans are being made to continue in the future. <br />
