RESOLUTION No. 12- STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION AMENDING PRECINCTS BOUNDARIES ACCORDING TO NEW LEGISLATIVE REDISTRICTING DISTRICTS 41A AND 41B,CREATE A COMBINED PRECINCT 2A AND 2B AND REESTABLISH PRECINCT 4 WHEREAS,the State of Minnesota has completed the Legislative redistricting plan; and WHEREAS,the Jurisdiction split by legislative or congressional districts during redistricting will need to adjust its precinct boundaries to follow the legislative and congressional district boundaries as defined in the state redistricting legislation(M.S. 204B.14); and WHEREAS,the City on New Brighton has been split by the new Legislative districts 41A and 41B; and WHEREAS,the City of New Brighton will need to adjust its voting precinct boundaries; and WHEREAS,this affects Precincts 1 and 3 see attached maps; and WHEREAS,St Anthony School District 282 and Mounds View School District 621 are currently both included as part of precinct#2; and WHEREAS, Ramsey County Elections has required the City of New Brighton to split the precinct and create a combined precinct; and WHEREAS,the resulting two precincts will use the same team of election judges but have separate ballot boxes and separate returns; and WHEREAS,the current precinct#2 polling place is Salem Covenant Church and will become a combined polling place and the precinct numbers will change to: 2A—SD621 and 2B—SD 282. BE IT RESOLVED the Council of the City of New Brighton hereby approves the following precinct boundary changes, and reestablishes Precinct#4 effective on August 14,2012. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the City Clerk be instructed to send notice to the Ramsey County Elections Office. Adopted this 13th day of March, 2012 Dave Jacobsen, Mayor Dean R.
