At the work session on Feb. 14, <br /> 2012 Council reviewed treatment scenarios for 2012. Staff was directed to prepare a report for council <br /> consent where the City would treat one-half(approximately 377)of all the trees treated in 2010,including <br /> all trees over 18.1 inches in diameter at breast height. <br /> Financial Impact: <br /> The chemicals and supplies,Forestry Technician and seasonal staff, are estimated to cost the City <br /> $45,000. <br /> Chemicals/supplies Forestry Technician Seasonal Staff(2) <br /> $16,650 $21,250 $7,100 <br /> Explanation: <br /> The chemical and supplies,Forestry Technician and seasonal staffing costs were not included in the 2012 <br /> general fund budget. In order to continue our efforts with Emerald Ash Borer and provide forestry <br /> services,these supplies and positions require funding. <br /> Costs and Funding: <br /> Cost to fund the positions and supplies would be approximately$45,000.
