February 28,2012 Page 4 of S <br /> Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Samuelson to <br /> To waive the reading and adopt the RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF <br /> $1,065,000 TAXABLE GENERAL OBLIGATION TAX INCREMENT BONDS, SERIES <br /> 2012B. <br /> 4 Ayes, 0 Nays -Motion Carried <br /> Commission Liaison <br /> Commission Liaison Reports,Announcements and Updates Reports, <br /> Dean Lotter Announcements and <br /> Updates <br /> City Manager Lotter reported that the Annual Employee Appreciation Breakfast is scheduled <br /> for March 8th at 8:00 am. Community Partners with Youth will hold a Benefit Lunch March <br /> 8th at 12:00 noon. It was reported that Town Hall will be Saturday March 24th,beginning at <br /> 8:00 a.m. Ryan & Colliers will be presenting on the market trends and the impact on the New <br /> Brighton Exchange. Ehlers will provide a financial piece. Additionally the council will hold a <br /> roundtable session. Manager Lotter reported there is a possibility of an additional topic related <br /> to transportation improvements as it relates to the New Brighton Exchange. <br /> Gina Bauman <br /> Councilmember Bauman reported that the Planning Commission did not meet in February. <br /> Councilmember Bauman reported that with the recent redistricting New Brighton is now <br /> District 41. The question was asked if the New Brighton precincts will change. <br /> City Manager Lotter responded that changes are likely, and more information will be <br /> forthcoming. <br /> Mary Burg <br /> Absent. <br /> Char Samuelson <br /> Councilmember Samuelson reported the recent EDC meeting was focused on tax increment <br /> financing. <br /> Mayor Jacobsen <br /> Mayor Jacobsen reported that a request was received for bee keeping in New Brighton, which <br /> merits further review. The Mayor continues to work with the School District on collaborative <br /> issues. <br /> Paul Jacobsen <br /> Councilmember Jacobsen reported that the PREC Commission did not meet in February; the <br /> next meeting will be Wednesday, March 7th. Goose addling training was held, to assist with <br /> goose management. Councilmember Jacobsen expressed his gratitude to Manager Lotter and <br /> City Staff for their assistance as he acquaints himself with the various city departments. <br />
