Anticipated savings are $71,000. The adjusted amount of the bond issue is <br /> $1,095,000. The true interest cost is 1.7%. <br /> Councilmember Bauman questioned a committed contract with the City of New Brighton and <br /> the National Sports Center from 1996 to purchase ice time. <br /> Mr. Ruff explained that the NSC is a state facility, and the amateur sports commission <br /> requested Anoka Co. finance the facility. The National Sports Center and the Amateur Sports <br /> Commission entered into agreements with neighboring cities to guarantee a number of hours. <br /> It was reported that the National Sports Center is successful, and there has not been a need for <br /> the Cities to pay.
