HEAD'S APPROVAL: Kevin Locke, Director of Community Development *:riA___.1 <br /> MANAGER'S REVIEW/RECOMMENDATION: /� <br /> No comments to supplement this report /'��'/ir Comments attached <br /> EXPLANATION/SUMMARY (attach supplemental sheets as necessary) <br /> At the March 24, 1998 Council meeting staff was directed to take those steps necessary to coordinate the Old <br /> Highway 8 Corridor name changes and address corrections. <br /> Attached is an Ordinance prepared by City Attorney, Charlie LeFereve that will eliminate the 5th Ave NW and <br /> 8th Ave NW sections of the Old Highway 8 Corridor and add the NW directional to property north of County <br /> Road E and SW to properties south of County Road E. These changes could be timed to start with the new <br /> changes in telephone area code scheduled for July 1st. The Post Office will allow 12 months of double <br /> irddressing for transition to the new addresses. Staff is working with the Post Office to notify all property owners <br /> f the change.
