HEAD'S APPROVAL: Kevin Locke, Director of Community Development <br /> MANAGER'S REVIEW/RECOMMENDATION: <br /> _Pa&No comments to supplement this report 1'v v Comments attached <br /> EXPLANATION/SUMMARY (attach supplemental sheets as necessary) <br /> To consider an amendment to the City's Massage Ordinance to allow for therapeutic massage in a licensed beauty salon in <br /> a Residential district. <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Currently,there is only one stand-alone beauty salon facility located in the R-1, Single Family Residential district. This <br /> facility is both a legal non-conforming use and no portion of the facility is used for residential purposes. The proposed <br /> amendment would allow for therapeutic massage in such a facility as an accessory use.
