Legislative History: Neighborhood Informational Meeting November 15, 2010 Council received Feasibility Study November 23, 2010 Council set date for Public Hearing November 23, 2010 Improvement Hearing (approved project) February 8, 2011 Council approved Plans and Specifications February 28, 2012 Bids opened by Staff April 17, 2012 Bid Awarded April 24, 2012 Financial Impact: The attached Change Order 1 addresses extra costs in the amount of $366.00 for additional work to extend the in-place storm sewers 24-feet each to the north and thus eliminating the proposed retaining wall and fence. Please see attached payment breakdown for details. Explanation: City Project 10-10 consists of the construction of 0.65 miles of concrete sidewalk and bituminous trails. Also included in this project are storm sewer improvements to meet Rice Creek Watershed District requirements. Costs and Funding: This project will be financed with MSA funds. The provisions of the contract with Ron Kassa Construction, Inc. stipulate that the City makes a partial payment to the contractor at least once each month at regular intervals on the basis of the work performed during that preceding month.
