<br />" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 6, 2000 the City of New Brighton was notified that the Metropolitan Council, <br />at its May 24, 2000 meeting, found that the City's comprehensive plan met all Metropolitan Land <br />I Planning Act (MLPA) requirements, and the plan is consistent with the Regional Blueprint; and <br /> <br />NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. by the City Council of the City of New Brighton <br />that the document as prepared by the Planning Commission pursuant to Chapter 462 Section 355 <br />Subdivision I of the Minnesota Statutes entitled "The Comprehensive Plan" dated August 4, 1999 is <br />hereby adopted as the Comprehensive Plan of the City of New Brighton. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that the Comprehensive Plan shall at all times be current with the <br />needs of the City of New Brighton, and shall represent the collective wisdom of the Council, Planning <br />Commission, boards, commissions, and departments of the City. In light of changing conditions, the <br />Planning Commission should periodically (at least every 2 or 3 years) review the Comprehensive Plan <br />and recommend to the Council changes, or additions to the Plan, which the Commission considers <br />necessary. Should the Commission find that no changes are necessary, this finding shall be reported to <br />,i the City Council. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that all matters affecting development of the city should be <br />reviewed for confonnity to the Comprehensive Plan.
