The low quote of$21,500 was submitted by <br /> Champion Coatings, Inc. <br /> Champion Coatings Johnson Protective Classic Protective <br /> Coatings Coatings <br /> Quote $21,500 $25,200 $86,725 <br /> Bolton&Menk has reviewed the quotes received and recommends approval to Champion Coatings. <br /> Explanation: Project 12-5A, consists of reconditioning the 300,000 gallon Forestdale Water Tower located <br /> at 675 Forestdale Road, including spot repairs of the exterior coating. All existing antennas and coaxial <br /> cables will be powered down or temporarily removed from the tower to allow for the maintenance of the <br /> tower. The reconditioning of the tower is expected to take 8 weeks. <br /> The original bids received on April 17, 2012 were rejected based on the high prices. City staff and Bolton& <br /> Menk, our consulting engineer, reevaluated the scope of structural improvements and provided additional <br /> detail to the plans and specifications. With these modifications, staff solicited quotes for the Forestdale <br /> Tower. <br /> Costs and Funding: The project will be financed by Fund 400,the Water Improvement Fund. <br /> 4-11 <br /> Grant W.
