Senior Expo would be held on September 27,2012 from 1:00-5:00 p.m.at the <br /> Community Center. She explained the City was awarded a grant for just over$32,000 to assist with <br /> purchasing playground equipment for Hanson Park. The playground equipment would be a community <br /> install,which would save the City over$14,000. It was noted the City has been working with local kids to <br /> select Skate Park equipment for Freedom Park. The work should be completed this fall,weather permitting. <br /> Mayor Jacobsen discussed a recent article regarding playground equipment and the need for the parks to be <br /> suitable for both children and grandparents. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen,seconded by Councilmember Burg to approve the Consent <br /> Agenda as amended adding Item 10. <br />
