RESOLUTION NO. 12- <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON PROJECT 11-1,2011 STREET <br /> REHABILITATION <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton,Minnesota as follows: <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law,the City Council has met and heard and passed <br /> the proposed assessment of the benefited lots in the area. <br /> BY: The construction of storm sewer, watermain improvements, sanitary sewer improvements, sidewalk, and street <br /> rehabilitation. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton,Minnesota: <br /> 1. The total amount to be assessed is$107,928.25. <br /> 2. Such proposed assessment, referred to as Special Assessment Number 63111000 is hereby accepted and <br /> shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land therein <br /> included is hereby found to be benefited by the improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against <br /> it. <br /> 3. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of ten(10)years,the <br /> first installment to be payable on or after the first Monday in January 2013 and shall bear interest at the rate <br /> of 3.00 percent per annum from the adoption of this assessment resolution. <br /> 4. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the <br /> County Auditor pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of <br /> payment, to the City Treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid <br /> within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution and he may, at any time thereafter, pay the County <br /> Treasurer, the balance of assessments remaining unpaid with interest accrued in accordance with the <br /> statutes such in case made and provided. <br /> 5. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Auditor to be <br /> extended on the property tax list of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over the <br /> same manner as other municipal taxes. <br /> Adopted this 9th day of October,2012. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Dave Jacobsen,Mayor <br /> Daniel Maiers Dean Lotter,City Manager <br /> Director of Finance and Support Services <br /> (SEAL) <br />
