RESOLUTION NO. <br />12-075 <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S <br />OFFICE FOR RAMSEY COUNTY AUTO THEFT PREVENTION COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVE <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton values a sense of safety and security throughout our community; <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Program is intended to reduce motor vehicle theft and <br />its effects on victims in the State of Minnesota; <br />WHEREAS, the New Brighton Department of Public Safety has partnered with other local law <br />enforcement agencies to form the Ramsey County Auto Theft Prevention Collaborative Initiative <br />(ATPCI); <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Commerce Division of Insurance Fraud Prevention has <br />awarded grant funding from the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Program to the Ramsey County <br />ATPCI; <br />WHEREAS, a Resolution is required for participation and receipt of funds: <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY IS AUTHORIZED TO ENTER INTO <br />A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR THE GRANT. <br />Adopted this 9t' day of October, 2012 <br />AST: ` <br />r <br />,J <br />Daniel�A.
