Sabre Towers&Poles
Job Number:54682
January 26,2012
Introduction
The purpose of this analysis is to determine if the existing tower is in
conformance with the requirements of ANSI/TIA-222-G, while supporting
specified equipment. The tower is a 80' monopole and was originally
manufactured by Sabre Towers & Poles (#30430). The tower has not yet been
erected. The analysis is being performed for Clearwire Corporation,
Rosemont, IL.
Method of Analysis'
The computer program that was used for this analysis is described on the
attached page. The analysis was performed using a basic wind speed of 90
with no ice and 50 with 0.75" ice, in accordance with ANSI/TIA-222-G.
Factored resistances and load factors were also determined in accordance with
this standard.
Supported Equipment
See page Al of the "Plots and Calculations" section of this report for equipment
loading. The lights were assumed to be fed by two (2) 1-5/8" lines (or
equivalent) and the future carrier was assumed to be fed by twelve (12) 1-
5/8" lines.
The transmission lines are assumed to run inside the pole.
Results
The results of the analysis show no overloads in any portion of the monopole
shaft or the existing anchor bolts (per Valmont design dated 8/2/10).
See conclusions below for modifications required to accommodate existing
foundation and loading.
1
