RESOLUTION NO.
12-081
STATE OF MINNESOTA
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE UPDATED ALTERNATIVE URBAN
AREAWIDE REVIEW.("AUAR") FOR THE NEW BRIGHTON EXCHANGE
PROJECT
WHEREAS,
A. The City desires to continue redeveloping the area formally known as the
Northwest Quadrant and now referred to as New Brighton Exchange.
B. The New Brighton Exchange (NBE) is an area approximately 100 acres in
size and is located at the northwest quadrant of Interstate Highways 694 and
35W. The benefit
of updating this analysis is it allows current and future developers the
opportunity to build without writing their own Environmental Assessment
Worksheet (EAW) or an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), as long as
their proposed development scenario(s) is/are consistent with the
development scenarios outlined in the updated AUAR.
E. The updated AUAR has shown the transformation of the site during the past
five years. It has also assessed the potential environmental impacts from
