October 9, 2012 Page 2 of 6 <br />He then introduced Cor Wilson from CTV. <br />Cor Wilson, CTV, presented the City of New Brighton with an Alliance for Community Media Hometown <br />Media Award and thanked the members of the Public Safety Department for their assistance. She indicated <br />that over 1,000 programs were entered into this competition. <br />Lynn Redlinger, CTV, discussed the award winning Public Safety Spotlight noting a house fire was discussed <br />in detail. This was a very informative and beneficial program for the public. <br />Councilmember Burg asked if the spotlight was still available for public viewing. Ms. Wilson stated she <br />could make the program available on both the CTV website and would work with the City's lT staff to make <br />it available on the City's webpage. <br />Councilmember Samuelson appreciated the work that went into the spotlights and the safety provided by the <br />fire and police departments. Ms. Wilson agreed this was a great community and commended the Public <br />Safety department for the services provided to New Brighton residents. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen was pleased with the strong partnership between the Public Safety department and <br />CTV. <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to accept the Alliance <br />for Community Media Hometown Media Award presented to the New Brighton Department of <br />Public Safety for its production of "Public Safety Spotlight. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays -Motion Carried <br />Consent Agenda <br />1.
