Mr. Kessler gave an overview of the history of Granicus. IT Administrator Andre Barte led the council members in a presentation of the iPad and the ilegislate application. The council members had an opportunity to navigate through the application, asking questions as necessary. Mr. Kessler also demonstrated some of the advanced note taking features. Councilmember Jacobsen stated that he would like to see the City's advisory commissions transition to paperless packets as well. Manager Lotter suggested beginning with council packets, and adding the advisory commissions in the future. Mr. Kessler demonstrated what a council meeting will look like to the public viewing audience; showing some of the special search features. Manger Lotter suggested council consider making the transition less difficult by providing both a paper and paperless packet for a couple of meetings. The worksession adjourned at 6:30 pm.
