Council Business <br />None. <br />February 12, 2013 Page 4 of 4 <br />Council Business <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reminded the Council there would be another neighborhood meeting this <br />Thursday at Sunny Square Park. He encouraged the Council to attend. He noted the Town <br />Hall meeting would be held on April 61h <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman noted the Planning Commission has not met. She indicated the Cable <br />Commission met and continued to discuss the contract. She stated as of March 6th all <br />customers would need an HD box, which would cost an additional $1.99. She explained that <br />universal coverage of local channels was available free of charge to residents. Those <br />interested in this service should contact Comcast for further information. Councilmember <br />Bauman discussed the scholarships available through QTV noting the deadline was April. <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported she attended the Park and Rec meeting for Councilmember <br />Jacobsen. She a tour of the Community Center was given by Jason Hicks and the available <br />space was discussed. She noted the EDC would not be meeting in February. <br />Char Samuelson <br />Councilmember Samuelson stated the Public Safety Commission would meet again on <br />Monday, February 25th at the Allina Headquarters at 6:30 p.m. A tour of the Allina facility <br />would be provided for all in attendance. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen thanked City Manager Lotter and staff for their recent totem <br />presentation. He noted the City was accepting applications for open seats on various <br />committees and commissions. He encouraged those interested to contact City Hall for further <br />information. It was noted interviews would be held in March and appointments would be <br />made in April. He welcomed the new owners of Clocktower Liquor to the City of New <br />Brighton. <br />Mayor Jacobsen <br />Mayor Jacobsen reported he attended the Public Safety meeting for Councilmember <br />Samuelson. He noted the items discussed.
