city of <br /> "ANEW <br /> TON <br /> the city that works for you <br /> Council Worksession <br /> March 26,2013 <br /> 5:30 pm <br /> Present: Mayor Dave Jacobsen <br /> Councilmember Paul Jacobsen <br /> Councilmember Mary Burg <br /> Councilmember Char Samuelson <br /> Councilmember Gina Bauman <br /> Absent: <br /> Staff in Attendance: Dean Lotter <br /> The Council interviewed Bruce Howard for appointment to the Planning Commission. <br /> Mary Jo McGuire, Ramsey Co. Commissioner introduced herself and her assistant Melissa Jamrock. <br /> Ms. McGuire complemented New Brighton on its exemplary efforts in community engagement. <br /> The Council received an update on various County projects. It was reported that a partnership with Hennepin <br /> County was formed to provide assistance to second stage businesses in suburban Ramsey and Hennepin <br /> counties. Councilmember Burg expressed concern to Commissioner McGuire regarding the recent changes to <br /> corporate adult foster care; noting that displaced clients may be referred to the county. <br /> Councilmember Bauman informed Ms. McGuire that the City has been compelled to maintain County Roads <br /> frequently. Councilmember Burg suggested Ms. McGuire look into improving trail connectivity. Ms. McGuire <br /> stated that she will certainly look into the issues, and thanked the council for their input. <br /> The work session adjourned at 6:30 pm. <br />
