CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13 -035 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING STATE OF MINNESOTA JOINT POWERS AGREEMENTS WITH THE <br />CI OF NEW BRIGHTON ON BEHALF OF ITS CITY ATTORNEY AND DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY <br />LEAS, the City of New Brighton on behalf of its Prosecuting Attorney and Department of Public Safety <br />desinA to enter into Joint Powers Agreements with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety, Bureau of <br />Crim. al Apprehension to use systems and tools available over the State's criminal justice data communications <br />ne k for which the City is eligible. The Joint Powers Agreements her provide the City with the ability to add, <br />modi an further <br />d delete connectivity, systems and tools over the five year life of the agreement and obligates the City to <br />pay costs for the network connection. <br />NOW,1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of New Brighton, Minnesota as follows: <br />the State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreements by and between the State of Minnesota acting through its <br />nent of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the City of New Brighton on behalf of its <br />Ming Attorney and Police Department, are hereby approved. Copies of the two Joint Powers Agreements are <br />1 to this Resolution and made a part of it. <br />the Director of Public Safety, Robert J. Jacobson, or his or her successor, is designated the Authorized <br />;ntative for the Department of Public Safety. The Authorized Representative is also authorized to sign any <br />lent amendment or agreement that may be required by the State of Minnesota to maintain the City's <br />ion to the systems and tools offered by the State. <br />To as st the Authorized Representative with the administration of the agreement Office Supervisor Julie Forbord is <br />appoi ed as the Authorized Representative's designee. <br />3. Th 11 the City Manager, Dean R. Lotter, or his or her successor, is designated the Authorized Representative for <br />the Pi c see uting Attorney. The Authorized Representative is also authorized to sign any subsequent amendment or <br />agree i ent that may be required by the State of Minnesota to maintain the City's connection to the systems and tools <br />offer c by the State. <br />To as st the Authorized Representative with the administration of the agreement, Director of Public Safety Robert <br />J. Jac son is appointed as the Authorized Representative's designee. <br />4. Tl %at Dave Jacobsen, the Mayor for the City of New Brighton, and Daniel A.
