CITY OF NEW BRICHTON Worksesion Item <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: July 3, 2013 <br /> TO: Mayor and Members of the City Council <br /> Dean Lotter, City Manager <br /> FROM: Grant Wyffels, Director of Public Works ( M►1/ <br /> SUBJECT: July 9, 2013 City Council Worksession—Johnson Controls Energy Study <br /> The City has been working with Johnson Controls since October of 2012. They have looked at <br /> all of our significant City facilities to determine if we can reduce our energy footprint. They <br /> have performed a preliminary analysis related to building infrastructure and identified <br /> opportunities for savings and efficiencies. Their focus was mainly on central plant/HVAC, <br /> lighting, building automation, water conservation, and other building envelope concepts. <br /> At the worksession, Johnson Controls will present their findings and recommendations. Staff <br /> will be looking for direction from the Council to move forward with a Project Develop <br /> Agreement (PDA). The PDA will allow Johnson Controls to develop a final portfolio of <br /> improvement opportunities for facility and financial performance. <br /> Attachments: <br /> Project Development Agreement <br /> Power Point Presentation <br /> Report - Preliminary Findings with Recommendations for an Energy Stewardship Program <br />
