July 23,2013 Page 1 of 7 014 city of �� COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS BRIGHTON the city that works for you THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday July 23, 2013 at 6:30 pm in the New Brighton Council Chambers. Present: Mayor Jacobsen, Councilmembers Samuelson, Bauman, Jacobsen and Burg Absent: Also Present: Dean Lotter-City Manager, Charlie LeFevere-City Attorney, Bob Jacobson Director of Public Safety, Grant Fernelius, Director of Community Development, and Grant Wyffels-Director of Public Works Call to Order Call to order Mayor Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Public Comment Forum Eublic Comment Mayor Jacobsen opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. Forum Kristie Kellis, 715 Forestdale Road,provided the Council with a recent newsletter from Lost Boys Farm. Bob Parrott, 703 Forestdale Road, explained his entire neighborhood has been disenfranchised by the City. He commented on the two roosters living adjacent to his property stating this was a nuisance. He discussed the code violations taking place by Lost Boys Farm and how this was adversely affecting his entire neighborhood. Councilmember Burg recommended the code violations be addressed by the City. Councilmember Bauman agreed,as she wanted the nuisances to stop. Mayor Jacobsen asked if staff was addressing code violations at this property. City Manager Lotter commented Officer Hamdorf had visited the site. This could be done again if directed by the Council.
