Legislative History: Neighborhood Informational Meeting February 13, 2013 Council received Feasibility Study March 12, 2013 Council set date for Public Hearing March 12, 2013 Improvement Hearing (approved project) April 9, 2013 Council approved Plans and Specifications May 28, 2013 Bids opened by Staff July 2, 2013 Bid Awarded July 9, 2013 Financial Impact: Please see attached payment breakdown for details. Explanation: The project consists of the removal and replacement of the bituminous surfacing, the removal and replacement of designated sections of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk improvements, storm sewer improvements, sanitary sewer repairs, and watermain replacement on the following streets: Windsor Lane - Entire Loop (Silver Lake Road) Windsor Court - County Road E to Cul-de-sac Windsor Way - Windsor Court to 20th Ave SW Costs and Funding: This project will be funded from a combination of City of New Brighton general taxes, Municipal State Aid funds, special assessments, and utility enterprise funds. The provisions of the contract with Northwest Asphalt, Inc. stipulate that the City makes a partial payment to the contractor at least once each month at regular intervals on the basis of the work performed during that preceding month.
