Community Development <br />Department <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE:8-20-2013 <br />TO:Dean Lotter, City Manager <br />FROM:Grant Fernelius, Community Development Director <br />Janice Gundlach, City Planner <br />Joseph Hatch, Code Enforcement Officer <br />SUBJECT:Urban Farming Task Force Interview Schedule and Suggested Questions <br />Introduction <br />At the work session on August 13, 2013 Council reviewed all 26 applications for the urban farming task <br />force.To recap, t he task force will be comprised of 9 members,with 3 selected to represent the Planning, <br />Public Safety, and Park & Recreation Commissions, and the remaining six chosen by the Council. <br />Council indicated a desire to appoint Bruce Howard (Planning Commission) as chair,Geoff Hollimon <br />(Public Safety Commission)and Alyssa Lundberg (PREC) to the task force. The remaining six positions <br />will be filled from the applicants that are scheduled to be interviewed at the August 27, 2013 work <br />session.Staff contacted the 10 candidates and all but one, Jess Durrant,is available for the August 27th <br />work session.Staff suggests Council interview Ms. Durrant at the start of the September 10th work <br />session.Should that interview become unnecessary, staff will communicate that to her. <br />List of Candidates and Time of Interview <br />The following is a list of the candidates and the time they are scheduled to be interviewed on August 27, <br />2013.Staff has advised the candidates to arrive 10 minutes prior to their interview time. <br />5:15pm Ken Schumann <br />5:30pm Susan Dukich Wolf <br />5:45pm Allison Leding <br />6:00pm Shana Morrell <br />6:15pm Glenn Kluthe <br />6:30pm Cha Posz <br />6:45pm Norm Schiferl <br />7:00pm Andrew Yurista <br />7:15pm Matt Benson <br />And on September 10, 2013 <br />5:00pm Jess Durant
