individual private entrance at street level. <br /> (2) Building Materials: <br /> A. Exterior building materials. All buildings shall be constructed of high-quality <br /> materials and utilize green, sustainable building practices through the demolition, <br /> site preparation, construction, operation and maintenance phases of the building <br /> cycle. <br /> 1. Primary building materials. Primary building materials shall cover at least <br /> 60% of the façade. These materials may include brick, natural stone, precast <br /> concrete units, decorative block of dimension, color, and texture that <br /> resembles brick, or glass, and must be integrally colored. <br /> 2. Secondary building materials. Secondary building materials shall cover no <br /> more than 30% of the façade. These materials may include decorative block, <br /> stucco, cement board siding, or architectural metal panels. <br /> 3. Accent materials. Accent materials shall cover no more than 10% of any of <br /> the building's facades. These materials may include door and window frames, <br /> lintels, cornices, architectural metalwork, glass block, copper flashing, or <br /> similar materials. <br /> 4. For townhouse and one family buildings the primary materials described <br /> above shall cover at least 30% of the façade, the secondary materials shall <br /> cover no more than 60% of the façade, and accent materials no more than <br /> 10% of the façade, except as otherwise permitted through a Planned <br /> Development. <br /> (3) Landscaping. <br /> A. All land area not occupied by buildings, parking, driveways, sidewalks, or other <br /> hard surface shall be sodded or mulched and landscaped with approved ground <br /> cover, flowers, shrubbery and trees. <br /> B. At least ten percent (10%) of the total land area within the perimeter of private <br /> parking and driveway areas shall be landscaped. Landscaped areas provided <br /> within the build-to line may be credited toward this 10% landscaping requirement <br /> on a square-foot-for-square-foot basis, for up to half of the 10% requirement, or <br /> 5%. <br /> C. Parking lot landscaped islands shall be a minimum of one hundred fifty (150) <br /> square feet in area and include at least one overstory or evergreen tree meeting the <br /> requirements of this ordinance. <br /> D. Where parking abuts the site perimeter there shall be provided at least one <br /> overstory tree per twenty-five (25) feet of site perimeter. <br /> E. At least one overstory tree shall be provided for every five hundred (500) square <br /> feet of landscaped area on the entire site. <br /> F. The landscape plan shall include a full complement of overstory, ornamental and <br /> evergreen trees, shrubbery, and ground covers that are hardy and appropriate for <br /> (Underline reflects new language,Stfileugh reflects deleted language) <br />
