It does look like the house has a basement or at least a crawl <br /> space so the house is on a frost footing with a concrete block foundation. <br /> The detached garage however, is on a slab.So, the garage and addition cannot be attached. But again there are <br /> alternatives. <br /> If I recall,the addition they were talking about would to between the house &the garage. Not a lot of space—12'or so. <br /> There may be some upgrades required to the heating system.
