Consideration of Resolution Adopting the Proposed Tax Levies for Taxes Payable in 2014 for Lake Diane and Bicentennial Pond Storm Sewer Improvement Taxing Districts. Report No. 13 -219. Resolution No. 13 -072. City Manager Lotter stated the City has established Storm Sewer Improvement Taxing Districts within the City for Lake Diane and Bicentennial Pond. He requested the Council approve a Resolution adopting the proposed tax levies for taxes payable in 2014 for these districts. Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to approve a Resolution adopting the proposed tax levies for taxes payable in 2014 for Lake Diane and Bicentennial Pond Storm Sewer Improvement Taxing District. 5 Ayes, 0 Nays -Motion Carried Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates Dean Lotter City Manager Lotter reported the ribbon cutting for Subway at the Community Center would be held at 5:00 p.m. on September 24th. He discussed synching the sound with the City's meeting playbacks and explained this concern has been brought to the attention of the Cable Commission. Gina Bauman Councilmember Bauman commented the National Day of Service will be September 11, 2013. She noted the Public Safety Department will be holding second round interviews this week. Paul Jacobsen Councilmember Jacobsen thanked staff for the work they put into the 2014 budget. He noted the EDC would possibly meet again on September 18, 2013. Char Samuelson Councilmember Samuelson reported the Park and Recreation Commission did not meet in September. She indicated the group would be meeting again on September 11th Mary Bury Councilmember Burg thanked staff for their efforts on the 2014 budget. She commented the Planning Commission would meet again on September 17, 2013. Mayor Jacobsen Mayor Jacobsen reported this Saturday, September 14, 2013 was New Brighton's clean up day. He encouraged residents to take part in this event by bringing their unwanted goods to the public works department building. He then discussed the varying perspectives the Council and staff had when approaching the next year's budget. 2.
