These funds will be <br /> used to help restock the Missouri Gravel Bed with new bare root trees for the 2014 season. <br /> Explanation: <br /> In 2013 the City of New Brighton built and maintained a Missouri Gravel Bed. This is a tree <br /> nursery for bare root trees. In 2013 sixty-six trees, of different varieties, were purchased,placed <br /> in the gravel bed to grow, and later planted on boulevards,parks and other city properties. <br /> Village Orthodontics removed seven pine trees on their property and did not want to plant any <br /> trees back due to sight line issues. In lieu of planting replacement trees they agreed to donate to <br /> help fund the gravel bed. In 2014 we intend to purchase more trees and continue with this <br /> process throughout the City of New Brighton.
