5.8.1.2 County Responsibilities <br /> 5.8.1.2.1 The County is responsible for procuring and <br /> maintaining secured WAN connections needed to <br /> support the System (for example, to the State). <br /> 5.8.1.3 Member Responsibilities <br /> 5.8.1.3.1 Each Member is responsible for procuring and <br /> maintaining any necessary secured WAN connections <br /> from their site(s) to the ECC in order to access the <br /> System. <br /> 5.8.1.3.2 Moves, additions, and changes to WAN connections <br /> that are initiated by a Member are the responsibility of <br /> that Member. <br /> 5.8.2 Firewall systems are used to help keep a network secure. The primary <br /> objective is to control the incoming and outgoing traffic by determining <br /> whether data packets should be allowed through. <br /> 5.8.2.1 County Responsibilities. The County will provide and maintain <br /> firewall systems for the ECC and backup ECC sites. <br /> 5.8.2.2 Member Responsibilities. Members who wish to have a dedicated <br /> WAN connection to the System must provide and maintain their <br /> own firewall systems at their locations. <br /> 5.8.3 Routing systems forward data packets between different types of networks, <br /> such as from WANs to LANs. For this System, routing services are required at <br /> the ECC and at the backup dispatch facility. The County is responsible for <br /> these systems. <br /> 5.8.4 Local area network (LAN) infrastructure consists of network cabling, local <br /> wireless (e.g., WiFi), and switching systems within a building. <br /> 5.8.4.1 County Responsibilities. The County is responsible for LAN <br /> infrastructure at the ECC. <br /> 5.8.4.2 Member Responsibilities. Each Member is responsible for LAN <br /> systems within the Member's own facilities. <br /> 5.8.5 Antivirus services protect operating systems and other software from <br /> malicious code. <br /> 5.8.5.1 The County and all Members are individually responsible to <br /> maintain antivirus services on all computing devices that access <br /> the System. Those antivirus services must meet all applicable <br /> state and federal requirements. <br /> 5.8.5.2 The County and all Members have the right to disconnect <br /> systems/hardware/devices found to be compromised in a way <br /> that poses an immediate threat. <br /> CAD and Mobile Data Agreement Ramsey County and User Members Page 15 of 48 <br />
