November 26, 2013 Pagel of 4 <br />Ift CH-Y(t <br />4-VBMU-M:)N <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />the city that works for you THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday <br />November 26, 2013 at 6:30 pm in the New Brighton Council Chambers. <br />Present: Mayor Jacobsen, Councilmembers Samuelson, Bauman, Jacobsen and Burg <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: Dean Lotter -City Manager, Bob Jacobson - Public Safety Director; and Dan Maiers- <br />Finance Director <br />Call to Order I canto order <br />Mayor Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. <br />Public Comment Forum <br />Mayor Jacobsen opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. <br />Paul Bryant, 462 91h Avenue, expressed concern with City Code Chapter 17, Article 1, Section <br />1712, Subsection 1 regarding noise. He summarized that this code reads that no person shall <br />cause or make any distinctly audible noise that unreasonably disturbs or precludes the <br />enjoyment of their property. He discussed the noise concerns at his property and complained <br />that has received no assistance from the City, or his landlord. Mr. Bryant assured the Council <br />that he was not hypersensitive to noise, but was growing tired of the constant pounding, which <br />began on May 1 st. He provided the Council with a copy of the audio in his home and <br />encouraged the Council to enforce the City's noise Ordinance. <br />Public Safety Director Jacobson recommended Mr. Bryant speak with a Public Safety Officer <br />before leaving this evening to discuss the matter in further detail.
