December 10, 2013 Page 1 of 6 It city ()f alkNEW COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS the city that works for you THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday December 10, 2013 at 6:30 pm in the New Brighton Council Chambers. Present: Mayor Jacobsen, Councilmembers Samuelson, Bauman (arrived at 6:38 p.m.) Jacobsen and Burg Absent: Also Present: Dean Lotter -City Manager, Charlie LeFevere -City Attorney, Bob Jacobson - Director of Public Safety, Grant Wyffels- Director of Public Works; and Dan Maiers- Director of Finance Call to Order Call to order Mayor Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Public Comment Forum Mayor Jacobsen opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. Paul Bryant, 462 9th Avenue, discussed the noise concerns at his home. He explained he contacted the police department recently and received no assistance. He felt that the police officer humiliated him and showed no care for his situation. He expressed a great deal of frustration with the City's lack of concern for his pain and suffering due to the noise that has been ongoing above his unit for the past six months. He questioned what he had to do to get some assistance from the City. He threatened to take his case to the media if the City did not properly enforce its noise ordinance. Council Agenda Approval of the December 10, 2013 Council Agenda Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Samuelson to approve the agenda as submitted. 4 Ayes, 0 Nays- Motion Carried Council Minutes Approval of the Council minutes from November 26, 2013.
