The cost of the vehicle is as <br />follows: <br />Contract #54363 <br />Vehicle Price $15,573.92 <br />Options $ 1,706.00 <br />Sub -Total $17,279.92 <br />Sales Tax (6.5 %) $ 1,123.19 <br />Total Price of Vehicle $18,403.11 <br />Graphics /Light Bar /Bed liner Approx. $ 1,000.00 <br />Vehicle w /equipment $19,403.11 <br />Expected Sale Value of #976 $ 2,700 <br />Total Price after Sale of #976 <br />The Parks Department has an "unfunded/pooled" vehicle #976 (1997 Chevy %2 ton pickup) that is not on <br />the fleet replacement plan. This vehicle is used in the summer to help with the transportation and work <br />projects of our summer staff and to haul the brine tank for Public Works in the winter. It is staffs <br />recommendation to sell vehicle #976 at auction and move vehicle #015 to the "unfunded/pooled" vehicle <br />to serve those needs. <br />Explanation: The purpose of this report is to obtain Council authorization to purchase a 2014 Ford F- <br />150 4 X 2 with 8' box. This vehicle will be used by the Parks Department for transporting personnel, <br />equipment, and materials to various job sites. This vehicle is scheduled for replacement on a 10 -year <br />cycle. The new vehicle will replace Vehicle #015 a Dodge pickup purchased in 2001 which was <br />scheduled to be replaced in 2011. <br />Costs and Funding: The Park Fleet Replacement Plan has $20,000 planned for the replacement of this <br />vehicle. <br />
