DEPARTMENT HEAD'S APPROVAL: 6^ CITY MANAGER'S APPROVAL No comments to sunnlement this Comments attached Recommendation: Subject to the approval of the City Attorney, authorize the City Manager and Mayor to enter into the following agreements for City Project 14 -9, County Road E2/5 1h Avenue NW and County Road C/10 "' Street NW Preliminary Roadway and Bridge Design Services: A Professional Services Agreement with Kimley -Horn and Associates (KHA) for Preliminary Design Services - County Road E2 /5th Avenue NW and County Road F /10th Street NW. 2. Approval of a Participation and Reimbursement Agreement. The services provided by KHA will include work in Ramsey County and Arden Hills, and the costs for the preliminary design services provided by KHA will be shared amongst the parties. Legislative History: MnDOT is currently planning the replacement of four bridges along I -35W within the next three years. In 2015, they are proposing to replace the 10th St NW/Lake Valentine Rd (sometimes referred to as County Road F) and County Road 96 Bridges. In 2016, they are proposing to replace the County Road E2 and County Road H bridges. Financial Impact: Staff received a March 31, 2014 proposal from KHA. A copy of their proposal is attached to this report. The proposed Professional Services Agreement is in the amount of $58,300. As part of the Participation and Reimbursement Agreement, the City of New Brighton will be reimbursed $12,358 from Ramsey County and $16,318 from Arden Hills. The remaining $29,624 will be funded by the City of New Brighton. The total estimated fees and expenses for their work tasks are as follows: A.
