Mowing <br />• Mowing lawns, as needed, to maintain a well kept appearance, however it shall be <br />unnecessary to mow more than once every seven days, except for irrigated athletic fields. <br />SEE ATTACHED spreadsheet for locations and mowing shedule. Spot mowing or site detailing <br />will be done as determined by Village Green Landscapes during hot, dry, cold periods, uneven <br />or slow growth. <br />• Mowing height will be between 3 and 3.5" as weather conditions dictate. <br />• Excess clippings will be blown or removed as needed, to ensure a neat appearance after <br />mowing. Patios and drive surfaces will be cleaned of grass clippings at the time of mowing, <br />along with trimming grass along building foundations, rocks, lamp poles and other objects. <br />• Village Green Landscapes reserves the right to chemically treat grass areas to be maintained <br />near fencing, associated posts, air conditioning units, building foundations or bases of trees to <br />minimize any damage that may arise from trimming and /or mowing operations. <br />B. Litter Management <br />• Policing the grounds at the time of mowing including picking up debris such as cans, paper, <br />etc... <br />• Excessive trash clean up due to repeated trash problems will be reported to the client and <br />may be cleaned up and billed back on a time & materials basis. Other waste such as pet <br />droppings problems to be handled on a case by case basis. <br />C. Inspections/ Reporting <br />o Inspecting the grounds weekly after each mowing by one of Village Green Landscapes <br />management team. <br />0 <br />]. Aeration (may be ordered at an additional charge and is not part of the basic maintenance) <br />• Common tun` areas will be core - aerated one time per season to a depth of no more than 2.5 <br />inches. <br />• Underground lines not buried properly may be damaged (i.e. irrigation lines and heads, cable <br />TV, gas, electric, etc.). If damages occur, City of New Brighton agrees not to hold Village <br />Green Landscapes responsible. <br />L. Material Cost <br />• Materials used in the performance of the proposed duties will be paid for by Village Green <br />Landscapes. Examples of this would be fuel, herbicide and fertilizer. <br />• City of New Brighton shall pay for other items including hoses, water for lawns, sprinklers or <br />other items deemed necessary to keep a pleasing appearance to the area. <br />• In an effort to recover additional expenses as a result of proposed volatility in fuel prices a <br />FUEL SURCHARGE is attached to this contractual obligation. If the average fuel price per <br />gallon of regular unleaded gas reaches $3.75 /gallon, a one (1 %) percent surcharge will be <br />added to the quoted monthly contract price. Subsequent one (1 %) percent surcharges will <br />be added for each 25 cent increase in said monthly fuel price average. The monthly average <br />fuel price will be determined via twincitiesgasprices.com.
