Lining of the old system will essentially create like new construction quality to the old clay <br />pipe. The lining is continuous between manholes with no joints, eliminating infiltration of ground water <br />and root intrusions. This will not only reduce maintenance of these pipes, but will eliminate infiltration <br />and lessen the chances of sewer backups. <br />Costs and Funding: The total cost of $304,968.50 for this project is proposed to be financed from <br />Fund 402, Capital Sanitary Sewer Fund. Grant funding in the amount of $76,242.13 will reduce the <br />amount needed from Fund 402 to $228,726.37. <br />All contract work with Insituform for City Project 13 -6, Southeast Sewer Lining has been completed and <br />accepted by City staff.
