<br />Long-term debt. At the end of the current fiscal year, the City of New Brighton had total bonded debt outstanding
<br />of $ 43,255,000. Of this amount, $ 38,850,000 comprises debt backed by the full faith and credit of the government
<br />and $ 4,405,000 is G.O. improvement debt for which the government is liable in the event of default by the property
<br />owners subject to special assessment.

<br />The City of New Brighton total bonded debt decreased by a net amount of $ 4,785,000 (10.0%) during 2013. The
<br />total decreased due to scheduled principal payments.

<br />The City of New Brighton maintains an A for general obligation debt. State
<br />statutes limit the amount of general obligation debt the City may issue to 3% of its total market value. The current
<br />debt limitation for the City of New Brighton is $ 52,388,883. The City of New Brighton has no debt applicable to
<br />the debt limit.
