The company has prepared application materials and the City is not playing an active role in the distribution of funds. Staffrecommended the Council approve a Resolution of support for CSI's application to DEED. Councilmember Bauman believed this was one of the most important parts ofthis entire project. She wished CSI much success as they expanded their corporate headquarters in the New Brighton. Councilmember Burg agreed stating the jobs created by CSI would be valuable to the community and would positively impact New Brighton's economy. Councilmember Strub reported CSI was planning to add 205 new jobs over the next three years. He thanked CSI and Ryan again, for working with the City to complete this redevelopment project. Mayor Jacobsen thanked the Council and staff for all of their extra efforts and for working through the negotiation process with CSI and Ryan Companies. City Manager Lotter also thanked Senator Goodwin for assisting the City with moving the MPCA approvals along.
