He explained that the City received bids <br />from eight vendors with the low bid from Park Construction Company in the amount of <br />5244,917.58, which is l4.4Yo below the engineer's estimate. Staff recommended the Council <br />accept all bids except North Valley, Inc. as it was not valid and award a contract to Park <br />Construction Company, while also authorizing staff to negotiate a change order for the addition <br />of Oakwood Drive and Innsbruck Court and request staff solicit quotes to stripe and/or paint <br />basketball courts as recommended by PREC. The painting options for the basketball court was <br />discussed in detail with the Council. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen questioned if he had to abstain from voting on this matter due to the <br />fact he lived within the street improvement project area.
