l <br />RESOLUTION NO <br />t4-054 <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY d <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE 2014 STICKS FOR KIDS GRANT FROM THE <br />GOLF COURSE BUILDERS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA. <br />AS, Brightwood Hills started a new After School program with St. John's this spring; and <br />, there is a need for junior sets of clubs to increase the inventory; and <br />, Brightwooá Hillr received approved program funding for two additional sets of clubs <br />as well as maintenance and replacement of the current supply; and <br />s, this is the fourth time (2007 ,2008,2012,2014) in the past seven years that <br />Brightwood Hills was awarded such a grant froni Sticks for Kids through the Golf <br />Course Builders Association of America; the approximate value being over $2,000 for <br />the entire inventory ofjunior clubs; and <br />REAS, the junior programs are a perfect fit to positively impact children and provide them <br />with the opportunities to experience the game of golf; and i' <br />REAS, the Builders Association supports Brightrvood Hills efforts and is excited to see the <br />golf course continue to grow the game' <br />, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton to hereby <br />the resolution acceptin g the 2014 Sticks for Kids Grant from the Golf Course Builders <br />iation of America. <br />this 24th day of June,2014. <br />Halley <br />ty City Clerk
