Accustream Company Overview
Accustream specializes in providing high pressure waterjet equipment and replacement
parts to distributors and end users throughout the world. The waterjet cutting process
has become widely accepted as a method for cutting shapes from materials ranging
from stone to metals. Inlaid tile designs, such as can be seen at the airport, is a
common application. Waterjet cutting uses pumps of up to 150 horsepower to generate
extremely high water pressure. A jet is created from the high pressure water and
abrasive is added to the cutting stream. The resulting jet is able to cut most materials
accurately.
Accustream was begun in 1999 as part of Fedtech, Inc., its sister company in Mounds
View. Fedtech is a job shop that performs waterjet cutting, laser cutting and machining
services. In 2001 Accustream was spun off as a separate company while continuing to
operate out of the Fedtech building. In 2008 the former US Tire building was purchased
and converted for use by Accustream. The owners of the building and business are Eric
Chalmers, President of Accustream, and Dave Fox, President of Fedtech.
Activities performed at the company include engineering and product development,
product assembly and test, sales, shipping and receiving, and accounting. We have
gained a reputation for providing high quality waterjet parts and products with an
emphasis on customer support. Major markets include North America, Europe and
China.
Since moving into the building in 2008 sales have doubled making it necessary to
increase the size of the building. We need to increase the building to add more sales
and engineering personnel as well as adding new features. Currently there are about 30
employees and the expansion would allow growth to 50 employees. The current
building space has about 24,000 square feet of production and office space and the
expansion will add 17,000 square feet divided between two levels.
The expansion will provide for the following:
• Improved building appearance
• Increased inventory area
• Larger area for inspection and small assembly
• Lunch room
• Training room
• Increased office area
• Product demonstration area
• Research and development area for product testing.
The following literature shows our current pump product line. In addition we offer a full
line of replacement parts for all major waterjet manufacturers. For more information visit
the company website at www.accustream.com
