September 23 , 2014 Page 9 of 10 <br />parcelR-l. <br />Mayor Jacobsen asked if the railroad was abandoned. Mr. Murlowski indicated the railroad was still active. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen asked who owned the R-l property. City Planner Gundlach explained Ramsey <br />County owned this property. <br />Mr. Yarosh clarified that Murlowski Properties was not planning to expand into the R-l Residential property <br />that was owned by Ramsey County. Mr. Murlowski understood that Ramsey County was interested in <br />putting a walking path through their property and would need an easement through his property. <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Burg to adopt an Ordinance <br />approving the Rezoning of certain un-zoned property from right-of-way to 1-1, Light Industrial and <br />R-1, Single Family Residential as depicted on the Proposed Zoning Map. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays-Motion Carried <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Burg to adopt the Resolution <br />approving the Comprehensive Plan Amendment and re-guide property from ISP, Open Space <br />Preservation to LI, Light Industrial as depicted on the Proposed Future Land Use Map. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays-Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />Cit6' Manager Lotter reported a Special Closed Session Meeting would be held on September <br />30t regarding Army settlement. He thanked the Council for making themselves available for <br />this meeting. He noted the new finance software conversion process would be discussed by the <br />Council on October 14th. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman updated the Council on the Cable Commission. She stated on <br />September 16th <br />, Shoreview formally sent a letter to the Cable Commission to withdraw from <br />the North Suburban Cable Commission effective December 31, 2014. She explained Greatland <br />Connections had recently been making contact with City officials. She requested that any <br />contact made to City officials by Greatland Connections be reported to Cor Wilson. She <br />reported the Cable Commission was moving forward with a 2015 budget without the City of <br />Shoreview. <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported the Public Safety Commission would meet again on Monday, <br />September 29th at 6:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Center. She noted Northwest Youth and <br />Family Services would be meeting on Thursday, September 25 th <br />. She encouraged the <br />community to participate in Taste ofthe Northwest. She explained she attended the ground <br />breaking ceremony for Pulte Homes today. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported the EDC met on Wednesday, September lih and received <br />updates on APi, CSI and Pulte Homes. He group discussed future relationships with Ryan and <br />Colliers, along with the future of the EDC after NBE was complete.
