clearly defined topics of discussion, along with sample language. <br />Councilmember Bauman agreed and suggested the large breed animals be removed from the urban farming <br />language. <br />Councilmember Strub believed urban farming would be an interesting topic for upcoming neighborhood <br />meetings. <br />Lotter explained he would bring this topic back to the Council on November 3rd and /or November 25t" <br />Councilmember Bauman was in favor of reviewing this topic at both meetings. <br />Train Traffic Study <br />Director Wyffels briefly discussed the findings from the train traffic study with the Council. He provided the <br />Council with a recent newspaper article regarding "quiet zones ". <br />Brett Farmers reviewed a PowerPoint presentation with the Council addressing the feasibility of quiet zones at <br />the intersections in the City of New Brighton. He provided comment on the areas of concern in the City, along <br />with the guidelines for quiet zones. The estimated improvement costs to make the entire City a quiet zone <br />would be $5 million. He explained the City would have the opportunity to apply for grants and loans. <br />Lotter understood the train noise was becoming a growing concern in the City and wanted the Council to be <br />informed on the topic. <br />Councilmember Bauman appreciated the quiet zone article and information from staff. <br />Worksession adjourned at 6:26 pm <br />
