Report No. 14 -296. <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to approve the Consent <br />Agenda as amended removing Item 12. <br />City Manager Lotter noted that minor changes may be necessary on the Separation Agreement for Grant <br />Femelius. He requested that the Council allow staff and the legal team some discretion on this item. The <br />Council supported this request. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />Public Hearing <br />None. <br />Council Business <br />Consider Resolution Reorganizing the Public Works and Community Development Departments and <br />Forming the Department of Community Assets and Development with the Associated Job Descriptions. <br />Report No. 14 -294. <br />City Manager Lotter explained this item was discussed by the Council in worksession. He reviewed the <br />recommendations within the report noting staff was recommending that the Public Works and Community <br />Development Departments be reorganized to form the Department of Community Assets and Development <br />This reorganization would eliminate two director positions while creating a single director for the new <br />department He discussed the cost savings ($167,000 /year) that would be observed by the City as a result of <br />the reorganization. He noted staff would follow up with the Council next week regarding the health insurance <br />coverage. <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Burg to approve a Resolution <br />Reorganizing the Public Works and Community Development Departments and Forming the <br />Department of Community Assets and Development with the Associated Job Descriptions with the <br />savings reallocation discussed by the Council at a future meeting. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reported a Truth In Taxation Hearing would be held on Tuesday, <br />December 2, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. A worksession meeting would be held prior to this meeting at <br />11.
