Department Happenings / upcoming events <br /> Thrive Expo, Sept. 18. <br /> Gravel Bed – Blvd tree planting approx. 60 trees planted. <br /> Youth fall leagues, basketball, soccer, flag football started. <br /> Adaptive Bowling, 33 teens and young adults are registered. <br /> Annual NBCC Shut Down took place. <br /> New Golf Course maintenance building is nearly complete. <br /> Construction of the NBCC building slated to start Oct. 6. Start with <br />demolition of the stage. They may work at night. Three phases; 1st – <br />demolition and work on new women’s locker room. The restrooms across <br />from guest services will be closed, all others open. 2nd phase is shut down <br />men’s locker room, they move to women’s old locker room, restrooms on <br />upper level will be closed for ADA remodel. 3rd phase personal needs <br />room and family restroom built as well as lobby/seating area. Director <br />Breuer thanked Commissioners, Brunell and Kunesh-Podein for attending <br />the meeting yesterday to update members and residents on the <br />construction project. There will be disruptions; we will try to minimize <br />those. <br /> <br />Chair Frischman stated next meeting is November 5, 2014. Sometime <br />soon would like more discussion relating to The Exchange North Park. <br /> <br /> IX.
