He noted that Craig <br />Rapp would be summari zing comments from the recent team building session and these notes <br />would be provided to the Council. He noted he applied fo r the ICMA credentialed manager <br />program and was accepted. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the Cable Commission met last Thursday and the group was <br />now down to nine members. She indicated Shoreview has elected to not remain a part of the <br />Cable Commission. She explained that Greatland Communication would be the new cable <br />provider in the metro area after the ComcastiTime Warner merger was complete. She was <br />pleased to report that CenturyLink was also moving into the metro area. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen rep orted the EDC met on December 1 ih . A presentation was given <br />by staff on the changes that were taking place. He noted the EDC would meet again on <br />January 21 st . <br />Brian Strub <br />Councilmember Strub reported PREC met on January ih and discussed the future parks <br />planned fo r the NBE. The group will be bringing fo rward their recommendations to the <br />Council in the near future. He encouraged residents to partici pate in the MLK Breakfast on <br />January 19th at the United Theological Seminary in New Brighto n. He stated on January 25t h <br />the New Brighton Sportsman's Club would be sponsoring a fishing contest on Long Lake. He <br />commented that on February ih there would be a Snowshoe Shuffle on Long Lake. Lastly, he <br />encouraged residents to visit there local ice rinks. <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Bur� repo rt ed the Publ ic Safe ty Commission would be meeting again on <br />Monday, Janu ary 26t 1 • She noted the Crosswalk Study would be discussed. She thanked <br />Officer McNealy and Officer Vaughn fo r thei r effo rts on the Santa Cop Program. <br />Mayo r Jacobsen <br />Mayo r Jacob sen was pleased by the outcome of the recent team building session between <br />Council and staff. <br />Adjournment <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to adjourn <br />the meeting. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays-Motion Carried, <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:12 p.m. <br />AITE ST:b&ti ?&� <br />Terri Haarstad , City Clerk <br />Adjournment <br />The meeting adjourned <br />at 7: 12 p.m.
