Consider Resolution Making Appointments to Municipal Advisory Commissions <br />Acting City Manager Jacobson indicated City Clerk Haarstad would be presenting this item to the Council. <br />City Clerk Haarstad explained Advisory commission members are volunteers appointed by the <br />City Council to serve three year terms that run from April 1 st through March 31 st. Term limits <br />may apply. Sitting commissioners whose terms expire March 31, 2015 were invited to reapply <br />for their commission. Additional applications were solicited from the general public from the <br />middle of January through the end of February. During that time period, 16 applications were <br />received including some from current commissioners reapplying for appointment. The City <br />Council interviewed the majority of these applicants during their March 10 "' Worksession; <br />however, the City Council did not have time to hold a discussion regarding this matter. As <br />such, the City Council conducted the remainder of the interviews and discussing these <br />appointments during the Worksession. Staff requested the Council make appointments to <br />municipal advisory commissions. <br />Councilmember Bauman discussed the interview process that was held by the City Council for <br />the open advisory commission positions. <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Burg to adopt a Resolution <br />making appoinments to Municipal Advisory Commissions. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays- Alotion Carried <br />6. Consider Resolution Appointing City Council Liaisons to Advisory <br />Commissions <br />Acting City Manager Jacobson indicated City Clerk Haarstad would be presenting this item to the Council. <br />City Clerk Haarstad explained the Council needed to appoint liaisons to the City's Advisory Committees and <br />Commissions.
