<br />../ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97- 071 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON PROJECT 96-4, 8TH A VENUE NW STREET <br />RECONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the City Council has met and heard <br />and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment of the improvement of: <br /> <br />LOCA TION: The benefited lots abutting 8th A venue NW between Old Highway 8 and 10th <br />Street NW. <br /> <br />BY: The construction of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, street surfacing. <br /> <br />'I <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The total amount to be assessed is $37,852.20. <br />2. Such proposed assessment, referred to as Ramsey County Data Processing Improvement Number <br />6568, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named <br />therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefitted by the <br />improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br />3. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of ten (10) <br />years, the first installment to be payable on or after the first Monday in January, 1998 and shall <br />bear interest at the rate of 6.50 percent per annum from the adoption of this assessment resolution. <br />4. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to <br />the County Auditor pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the <br />date of payment, to the City Treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire <br />assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution and he may, at any time <br />thereafter, pay the County Treasurer, the balance of assessments remaining unpaid with interest <br />accrued in accordance with the statutes such in case made and provided. <br />5. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Auditor to <br />be extended on the property tax list ofthe County and such assessments shall be collected and <br />paid over the same manner as other municipal taxes. <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd day of September, 1997 <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Robert Benke, ,.' yor - <br /> <br />_A'i'TEST:.
