<br />: <br /> <br />II <br />i ~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-067 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON PROJECT 96-1, STREET RECONSTRUCTION. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the City Council has met and heard <br />and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment of the improvement of: <br /> <br />LOCA nON: The 196 benefited lots abutting the following streets: <br />6th Street NW - 19th A venue NW to 20th A venue NW <br />9th Street NW - west of Oakwood Drive <br />10th Street NW - Oakwood Drive to Silver Lake Road <br />10th Street NW - 11 th A venue NW to Polynesian Village <br />17th Avenue NW - 5th Street NW to 7th Street NW <br />19th A venue NW - 6th Street NW to 7th Street NW <br />20th Avenue NW - 6th Street NW to 7th Street NW <br />22nd Avenue NW - south of 10th Street NW <br />23rd Avenue NW - south of 10th Street NW <br />Emerald Court - all <br />Emerald Drive - 7th Street NW to Oakwood Drive <br />Oakwood Drive - 7th Street NW to lOth Street NW <br />Patton Road - all <br /> <br />BY: The construction of storm sewer, watermain, sanitary sewer repairs, concrete curb and gutter, <br />and street surfacing. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The total amount to be assessed is $215,654.96. <br />2. Such proposed assessment, referred to as Ramsey County Data Processing Improvement Number <br />6567, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named <br />therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefitted by the <br />improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it with the exception of the properties <br />located at 749 22nd Avenue NW and 750 22nd Avenue NW. <br />3. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period often (10) <br />years, the first instalhnent to be payable on or after the first Monday in January, 1998 and shall <br />bear interest at the rate of 6.50 percent per annum from the adoption of this assessment resolution. <br />4. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to <br />the County Auditor pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the <br />date of payment, to the City Treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire <br />assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution and he may, at any time <br />thereafter, pay the County Treasurer, the balance of assessments remaining unpaid with interest <br />accrued in accordance with the statutes such in case made and provided. <br />5.
