1. Sale and manufacture of baked goods; the sale of confectionery, dairy
<br />products, delicatessen, fruits, vegetables, groceries and meats in permanent
<br />buildings only.
<br />2. The sale of books, magazines, newspapers, cigars, drugs, flowers, gifts, music,
<br />photographic goods, sporting goods, and stationery.
<br />3. Restaurants, cafeterias, coffee houses, chocolate houses, juice bars, ice cream
<br />shops; -and similar uses -offering -food -or -drink -
<br />4. Service establishments, barber or beauty shops, custom tailors, laundry
<br />agencies, self-service laundries, hand laundries, coin laundries, shoe repair,
<br />also dry cleaning, pressing, and tailoring shops in which only non -explosives
<br />and non-flammable solvents are used and no work is done on the premises for
<br />retail outlets elsewhere.
<br />5. Health clubs, exercise salons, racquet clubs, and similar uses, amusement and
<br />recreation, armory, assembly hall, bowling alley, dance hall, pool and
<br />billiards, theater, skating rink or other social, sport, or recreation center
<br />operated as a business.
<br />6. Video store.
<br />7. Sale of dry goods, apparel of all kinds, and variety merchandise.
<br />8. The sale of furniture and household goods including furniture and accessory
<br />furniture storage.
<br />B. Permitted Uses in A2 Building Type or on any level other than street level in the
<br />Al Building Type:
<br />1. All Permitted uses in paragraph A above, regardless of size.
<br />2. All Office uses listed below in paragraph (3).
<br />C. Permitted Uses allowed on street level in the A3 Building Type, if less than 10%
<br />of street level gross floor area:
<br />1. All permitted uses in paragraph A above.
<br />D. Special Uses on the street level in the Al Building Type, upon a finding by the
<br />City Council that such uses are in keeping with the spirit and intent of the NWQ
<br />Framework Plan in that location as an intensely developed mixed use center with
<br />a diverse and compact mix of uses:
<br />1. All Permitted uses in paragraph A above, regardless of size.
<br />2. Other uses not specifically listed herein which the City Council finds to be
<br />substantially the same or similar to listed uses.
<br />E. Special Uses in the A2 Building Type or on any level other than street level of the
<br />Al Building Type, upon a finding by the City Council that such uses are in
<br />keeping with the spirit and intent of the NWQ Framework Plan in that location:
<br />1. Day nurseries, nursery schools, and day care centers, provided adequate
<br />provision is made for drop-off and traffic circulation.
