DRAFT <br />5-12-15 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 8 3 6 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 4 <br />OF THE CITY CODE <br />REGARDING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON ORDAINS as follows: <br />Section 1. New Brighton City Code Section 4-1 is amended by deleting the strieken material <br />and adding the underlined material as follows: <br />Sec. 4-1. Definitions. <br />(4) BreN1('r Trlproom. The on Sale of malt liquor produced by a brewer for consumption on the <br />premises of or adjacent to one brewery location owned by the brewer. The holder of a brewer <br />taproom license may also hold a license to operate a restaurant at the brewery. <br />(4)L5) Brewpubs. <br />wine are sold. Brewers who also hold one or more retail on -sale licenses and who manufacture <br />fewer than 3,500 barrels of malt liquor in a year, at any one licensed premises, the, entire <br />production of which is solely for consumption on tap on any licensed premises owned by the <br />brewer, or for off -sale from those licensed premises as permitted by this Chapter. <br />(12)_Microdistillery Cocktail Booms. The on -sale of distilled liquor produced by a distiller for <br />consumption on the premises of or adjacent to one distillery location owned by the distiller. <br />(17) Required Packagiirg. Malt liquor authorized for off -sale pursuant to this Chapter must be <br />packaged in 64 -ounce containers, commonly known as "growlers" or in 750 milliliter bottles. <br />The containers or bottles must bear a twist -type closure, cork, stopper, or plug. At the time of <br />sale, a paper or plastic adhesive band, strip, or sleeve must be applied to the container or bottle <br />and extended over the top of the twist -type closure, cork, stopper, or plug forming a seal that <br />must be broken upon opening the container or bottle. The adhesive band, strip, or sleeve shall <br />bear the name and address of the brewer. The containers or bottles shall be identified as malt <br />liquor, contain the name of the malt liquor, and bear the name and address of the brewpub or <br />brewer selling the malt liquor. <br />(21) Small Brewer. A brewer who manufactures fewer than 3,500 barrels in a year. <br />After the above paragraphs are inserted into this Section, all other paragraphs in this Section <br />shall be renumbered accordingly. <br />
